Count Twinkula is a drag king, theatre artist, and academic. As Buffalo’s drag vampire, he holds the title of Rookie Knights Champion, October 2025. His drag is a little silent film, a little goth club, and a whole lot of creature of the night. He has previously performed with Slugs in Fishnets in Santa Cruz, CA and founded the performance troupe Loose Lips: A Lipsynch Cabaret. Selected directing credits include Lion in the Streets (UC Santa Cruz) and Woyzeck (UC Santa Cruz), as well as assistant director on Macbeth (UB, dir. Danielle Rosvally). By day, he is a PhD student in Theatre and Performance at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. His research orbits queerness and monstrosity, sometimes investigating these concepts separately but more often analyzing how they inflect and constitute one another. He also cohosts the podcast Ghosts Were People Too, which haunts whichever platform you prefer.
