Shimmy Neutron is a creative soul that wishes to explore exponentially expanding artistic options. Her theatrical experiences are attested to her backstage involvement as a makeup artist and prop master as well as on stage in shows. Some of her favorite characters to date are her chaotic four-leaf-clovered Crim in the Rocky Horror Picture Show, debuting the role of the ROUS for The Princess Bride, and the White Rabbit in Monty Python’s Holy Grail. Shimmy is new to burlesque and on-stage performing, and slowly working herself out of her shell. When she isn’t making a ruckus and romp on stage, she can be found crafting, coloring, and (when she can) sleeping.

Shimmy had been attending FBE shows for over a decade before joining thanks to a wonderful current cast member and friend. Way back when, finding Rocky Horror created a space of acceptance and release for Shimmy; for one night a year she felt a real sense of community. One of the experiences she recounts as world-changing was the audience versus stage-side point-of-view during the lights of “Over at the Frankenstein Place.” Being in the audience, you’re surrounded by the light with a unifying, warm feeling. From the stage, watching this feeling take over the house reminds you why we are all there: for family and for comfort.
